        These images are from a trip I took to Hong Kong in June, 1988, during my naval tour in South Korea.  While Hong Kong has certainly changed quite a bit in 19 years, these images can serve as a window on what it once was prior to Britain's return of this colony to the People's Republic of China in 1997.  Kowloon is the "main land" portion of Hong Kong City.
