City of York

     I went to the England on a business trip in November 2004.  On the Sunday I had off, I had the opportunity to visit and tour the City of York.  No trip to York would be complete without visiting the old "walled" section of the city.  York's history includes it having been a Viking settlement as well as a major Roman city during the Roman Empire's occupation of England.  Here are some of my images including the various churches, shops (including the "Shambles" area pictured below), canals, the "Wall" and of course the York Minster (the enormous church pictured below) where Emperor Constantine (bronze statue pictured below) was crowned.
